What wonderful news to relay... we met with Dr. Ahn, Maggie's surgeon, for our 3 month follow-up. He was so pleased with Maggie's current post-op brain MRI. The before and after pictures are remarkable. Her cerebellum tonsils are no longer pressing against her brain stem and there is room for "flow"! He said that Maggie's brain picture is as close to "normal" as she will ever have. Bottom line - she is doing really well. Her headaches are almost gone. The doctor said she should just continue to improve over time.
I was grateful, so very grateful, on the drive home from the doctor's. We prayed together and thanked God for His healing of our daughter. It's so amazing. Just 4 months ago she was diagnosed with Chiari. God provided a gifted doctor and a successful surgery and recovery, and we now have a headache-free daughter.
God has been so good to us!
