Reinhart's in Dubai

The Reinhart Adventure in Dubai has begun! Here is our new home - a "villa" in Mirdif, a section of Dubai near the airport. The house is very nice. It is surrounded by a wall, with a courtyard inside. The pool in the back is shared by three adjoining villas.

We were picked up at the airport by Glen, a pastor here at the Redeemer Church of Dubai. He was so gracious, and helped us settle into our new home.

The girls went right to bed, but alas, were up again at 4:30 am, when the Muslim prayers began. There is a Mosque near us, and the prayers are proclaimed from a loudspeaker 5 times a day, beginning at 4:30 am. The other cause of sleep depravation are the ariplanes. The runway is nearby, and the planes create some serious sound disturbance. Especially the Russian planes. Whoa Nelly!

Dubai is a city that rises out of the desert. There is sand everywhere, and very little vegetation. It is truly a different world for our little East Coasters!
