A Tough Day
Maggie has had a tough day. She is continuing to have pain, nausea, and dizziness which are side effects from the surgery. The doctors say this is probably the toughest day expected in the recovery course. She did get up and take a short walk down the hallway as well as take a few nibbles of Cheerios and Ice Cream. Despite some repeated requests to go home, her bravery is still apparent as she deals with the regular vital checks and lab work. We are praying that the nausea and dizziness subside over the next 24 hours and that she begins to eat more and get out of bed. We are overwhelmed by all the kind words, notes, and messages from all of you. Maggie is aware of the many people pulling for her, and she smiles when we relay the specific messages we receive from you. Thank you so much.

God gives all of us the grace and strength we need for each minute, then each hour, then each day. I am confident that Maggie will be feeling better soon - it will just take time. We're praying for you all. Keep trusting God and know that this is all temporary.
ReplyDeleteTell Maggie Aunt Val said thanks for the card and picture!
Hi Shelley ,
ReplyDeleteWe lift our hearts in praise to God for his healing hand on Maggie through her successful surgery .
Jesus is with Maggie holding her through every moment , He knows all her pain and all the joys to be , soon to be home as a big sister to Katie and Annie.
We thank him for all his earthly angels and his heavenly ones , as they keep a watch on Maggie and her loved ones.
